Campaign Funding & Payouts

How advertiser funding and creator payouts move through the platform

Updated August 28, 2026

Advertisers purchase campaign distribution services directly from the platform. Creators broadcast the campaign's assets, and the platform separately pays creators for verified reach.

How it works

1. Create a campaign

An advertiser creates a DRAFT campaign with a budget, payout rate (CPM or FLAT), creative assets, and targeting.

2. Fund the campaign

The advertiser funds it via POST /automation/actions/campaigns/:id/fund using checkout (hosted payment page), wallet (debit the platform wallet), or payment_link (shareable funding URL). The campaign_funded trigger fires once payment settles.

3. Creators reserve slots

Once ACTIVE, eligible creators reserve a slot on the campaign and broadcast the creative within the reservation window.

4. Creators submit for review

The creator submits their post URL (slot_submitted); moderation approves or rejects it (slot_approved / slot_rejected).

5. Creators get paid

Verified view counts accrue to the creator's pending balance, clear into their wallet (earnings_released), and can be withdrawn (withdrawal_completed).

Key concepts

  • CPM or FLAT payout - advertisers pay per 1,000 verified views, or a flat rate per approved post
  • Multiple funding rails - checkout, wallet debit, or a shareable payment link
  • Slot lifecycle - reserved → submitted → approved/rejected/expired, with optional proof requests
  • Creator payouts - the platform pays creators directly for verified reach, clearing into the platform Wallet on a holding-window/batch schedule
